Richard G Mann

Richard is a qualified accountant and a distinguished member of both the British Computer Society and the Institute of Analysts and Programmers. With over 30 years of experience across financial services, insurance, and blue-chip organizations, he brings a rare blend of business acumen and technical proficiency.

Renowned for his ability to tackle complex, high-risk spreadsheets—often referred to as “Frankenstein files”—Richard specialises in transforming them into reliable, automated solutions using Excel VBA and best-in-class EUC development practices. His strong grasp of regulatory demands, combined with a commitment to elevating development standards, makes him a trusted authority in EUC remediation and governance.

Ruben Esposito

Ruben brings over 20 years of experience from UBS and Goldman Sachs, where he worked in Engineering to deliver strategic data solutions and advanced Excel modelling. His focus was on boosting productivity, mitigating spreadsheet risk, and simplifying complex modelling tasks—all while helping teams adopt smarter, more efficient workflows using Microsoft technologies and low-code/no-code platforms.

Following his time at Goldman Sachs, Ruben joined Schematiq/MDX, where he supported platform adoption and deepened his expertise in the emerging low-code/no-code space.

A strong advocate for unlocking the full potential of spreadsheets, Ruben combines a deep understanding of their strengths with a clear-eyed view of their limitations. He applies a proven playbook to design scalable, resilient solutions that enhance Excel’s capabilities, implement safeguards for rapid application development (RAD), and ensure seamless integration with modern IT ecosystems.

Ruben is also a supporter of the European Spreadsheet Risks Interest Group (EuSpRIG), reflecting his commitment to advancing spreadsheet governance and promoting best practices in end-user computing.
